The heart of our business is the workshop. This is where we forge, polish, experiment, and drink a lot of coffee to come up with new splendid ideas. Simply everything that turns that lump of stone, which is gold, to eventually become a piece of jewellery with a soul.

The goldsmith profession is one of the oldest professions. Many of our tools in the workshop look about the same as when the profession once started a few thousand years ago and some of our tools have followed the development and are super modern.

Every piece of jewellery that leaves the workshop is created with love for the details, love for the craftsmanship, in fact love for the soul of the piece of jewellery. It may sound pretentious. But sitting with a piece of jewellery in one hand and with tools in the other and working out every little detail and personality trait means that you get a kind of relationship with it. Maybe that's why each piece of jewellery is unique, has its own character, and radiates its own kind of life.

Our design language reflects ourselves, or perhaps those we strive to be. Sparkling, curious, strong, challenging and romantic. Inspired by life, but a passion for the shimmering mystical, the curious young, the complex and the asymmetrical. A fairy tale if you will.

Here at Guldmakeriet, we make both unique jewellery in a single copy, but also some "best sellers" that we make in several editions.

Materials and precious stones vary depending on the assignments we have. Though, our work is always with precious metals, ie gold, silver and platinum and always use precious stones.
